Mister Hermann, Marcus Spurway's uncle on vacation in Cannes, opens the first distillery of orange blossom flowers called "Parfumerie de l'Ile Notre Dame."

1893

Marcus Humphrey Spurway, Consul of Brazil in Cannes, and Herbert O'Donoghue, descendant of the Royal House of Munster in Ireland, take up the torch. The Perfumery becomes Spurway.

1897

The House opens workshops around the world (London, New York, Vienna, Sydney, Cannes) and enriches its fragrances with raw materials from all corners of the globe.

1905

Spurway quickly becomes the emblem of custom perfume and the official perfumer to the Queen of England.

1935

Jacques Langasque, prodigy of the Perfumery and Cosmetics world, takes over the reins of the company. The brand meticulously develops a range of products for a clientele as loyal as renowned.

1946

The creation of the Cannes Film Festival allows to reach an international audience, immediately captivated by the oldest Perfumery in Cannes. The uniqueness of Maison Spurway even fascinates prestigious icons like Michèle Morgan, for whom the brand creates bespoke perfumes.

2011

Passionate about the world of perfume and beauty in general, Tony AAD then takes over the company, opting for the third distribution channel, direct sales, to provide personalized advice on the art of niche perfumery and the expertise of a French house directly to homes. He then decides to take on the challenge of combining the production of authentic products, modern distribution, and affordable prices.

2014

The brand opens its first counter for personalized perfume creation in Hong Kong.

2015

Always in search of novelty and fascinated by the world of beauty, Marcus Spurway expands his concept of personalized perfume counters into a unique concept, "L'Atelier Particulier."
The company has over 3000 home advisors and 150 meticulously handcrafted products in its workshop in the hills of Grasse.

2016

The company decides to make some of its creations accessible through an online store. It still prioritizes private sales to bring the expertise and advice of a Master Perfumer directly to its customers' homes. For this, it chooses to give the privilege to all Marcus Spurway Ambassadors to offer all products 40% cheaper during their Olfactory Workshops than on the online store.

2021

Marcus Spurway becomes the official partner of Miss France Côte d'Azur and joins the International Perfume Museum located in Grasse.

2021

Maison Marcus Spurway becomes the essential perfumer for direct sales, doubling its network of Ambassadors in France and embarking on its expansion into Europe. A new challenge for the brand, which, to achieve its goal, has surrounded itself with a new Sales Director, Ouahiba KAFSI, "THE" specialist in direct sales. A flawless career of over 20 years with the leader in direct sales and an example of professional success: a determined woman who, from Consultant, has climbed all the ranks to end up as Sales Director.
